Well Christmas went very nicely. Kids didn't get up too early and as soon as we got situated they ripped thru those presents like a tornado. We got some cute pics as well. Rosie loved her rocking horse nanna got her and of course all her new stuff plushies of Yo gabba gabba,sockmonkey and Elmo.

For dinner We had a nice ham with stuffin muffins and green beans. I really at one point was kinda disapointed and a bit sad that I really didn't get anything. I bought myself some Candy when I got Dans stuff. I thought maybe I would at least get my Laurell K Hamilton book but nothing. We decided it was just for the kids but I picked some jammys and clothes for Dan anyway. Things he needed plus stocking stuffers. I thought maybe he would do the same but no go. As the day went by I realized it was just silly. That and with the combination of not hearing from my side of the family for the holidays, just kinda made me feel neglected. But watching the kids having a blast made me feel better. I hope next year we can go back to normal.

I have made a total of 6 batches of cookies. I want to make another one thats a biscottii. I just made a chocolete raisan and white chocolete chewie one. At least I had my baking.

Ok so next cookie I decided to bake is like a shortbread or biscotti type dough and it has dried cherries and toasted almonds in it. I am also going to make an apricot one as well; This is a Giada Delaritis recipie and she said when I make the apricot to add pine nuts and take out the almond extract and just use Vanilla. I am very exciting because I get to use the leftover iceing I made from the sugar cookies.

Getting very festive. I am also going to make her peppermint sandwich cookies and my traditional kiss thumbprints. This time I am useing dark chocolete and the candy cane ones. ;P

I finished another cookie. I made a different chocolete thumbprint that was from martha stewart. The sugar cookie recipie was from her as well. I didn't particularly care for it. I think I will make my standard one next time. The dough wasn't good to work with. The kids had fun decorating them tho.

I want to make a sandwich cookie next. with peppermint. It should be fun. I also need to make a fruit cookie for Olivera. Shes not too big on chocolete.

All in all I am done.

Worried about a friend.

Ok so all is going well with the holidays here in Vegas with the fam but I am worried about my friend back home. Joanne. You need to let me know everything is ok. So call me or let me call you! I am so angrey and confused with Don. I hope all is ok.

Meanwhile today I gotta start on my cookies. Weather I feel like it or not. As of today I have all 3 kids all day and that can be a bit stressful. I need to do some serious baking in the next few days.

My cough is still annoyingly with me. I hate having the fits where I cough for long periods of time. It drains me.

So I think all the presents are bought for the kids. All we need to do is Wrap them and get them under the tree. But we won't be able to do that till they go to bed Xmas Eve.

Trying to get everything ready for the holidays. Dan is vaccuming right now and will be washing rugs and floors as well. Those aren't my forte' of chores. That and the cat box. But, if Dan does get a 2nd job I just may have to suck it up and do everything. I understand that and except it,but now there is no way.

Later,he is going to pick up a few things at market and last minute things. He is worried because he really didn't get me anything for Christmas but he did get us phones so that is something. I am ok with that. This is all for the kids and I can't wait to see the look on their faces. Plus cooking and baking during the holidays if fun. Dan also is needing a new printer. This one has shit the bed.

Anyway,the countdown starts. I am very worried about a friend back home. Joanne. Call me.

I am very happy today because Dan gets out of work early because he has to meet with Bobbys teachers today. So he leaves work at noon and now I don't have to pick bobby up from school;Which I hate. Also my moneys in my account and I can officially really shop.;p I will go shop for Rosie after Dan gets back from picking Bobby up.

I need to do a food shop after I drop Bobby off. I think this may be a good day. For once.

Well I am happy to announce that I got my unemployment back. Christmas is saved. The lady I talked to was real nice. I felt bad thinking that they want to give everyone a hard time but doesn't the government usually do? Anyway. Water under the bridge.

I am happily festive as of this morning. I went to Target today to get ideas for Rosie because both kids were with me so I couldn't exactly buy for Rosie because stuff comes from Santa. I did get a few cds for the car and a few things more for Dans stocking. Nothing to crazy. I also got some more boxes to put my cookies in. Next week I am planning on visiting the new City Center where Delia and Oli are now. Now all I have to do is just start making cookies.

I also am feeling a little better. I was told this cold may last a few weeks and I pray it doesnt.

I got a few more ornaments for the tree as well. Plus a little something for Bobbys teachers. I think he has 2.

Ok so I am getting really aggravated. Aggravated with me being sick during the holiday season and aggravated coz I can't get thru to the fucking unemployment office. I think now they are making it harder for people to get through coz they must be going thru alot of money so they are probally trying to save some by pretending the lines are busy. I have been calling non stop since 730 to 9. I had to stop coz the house doesn't clean itself and the kids need attention. Like for instance, Bobby had a tantrum a few minutes ago and now there is something up with Rosie.

I just want it to be over.

Still can't get thru unemployment!? I keep trying on different times one after the other. Honestly I don't know how I ever got on the first time!?

Since everyone seems to be comming down with colds;me included, I have decided to make some chicken noodle soup. I hope eatting it will kill some of this cold that I have. Also I hope it will prevent Dan from getting it.

So we got Dans dads card and gift in the mail. He sent us$500. for all of us. Right in the bank. I am going to shop for Rosies gifts soon maybe today if I feel well. As soon as Dan gets home. We shall see. Other than that,I will have to just wait until the weekend.

I am getting ready to start baking soon. I will make some sugar cookie Dough and on the weekend or so bake them up and decorate. I also want to make my thumbrint cookies and some new ones as usual.

Its going to be a tight Christmas but as long as we have each other things will work out ok!

Its the second day I've waken up around the 5 oclock hour. I am so sick of coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose. I just want to sleep. Actually I can't say that I havent slept 8 hours coz I went to bed early so but still I feel like a truck ran over me.

Today at the 8 oclock hour...I need to call unemployment and unddo the mistake Dan made on my app yesterday. I need to get that money so I can do some holiday shopping. plus the food for the fam. Bobbys last day of school to go on holiday break is friday. tho he has this wednesday off for teacher conference or something then he goes back on thursday and friday. Its all messed up here in Vegas.

I also need to start my holiday baking. I had to empty the cookie jar from Thanksgiving baking. Still had tons now I need to make some room.

I am up way too early this morning. I did get 8 hours of sleep tho. But this cold that I am fighting is keeping me from going back to bed for the remaining few hours. I tried to go back to sleep but my brain reminded me that with almost everyone in the house is sick and if the kids needed to go to the Dr. they can't because on rosies side we still owe over $500. We just couldn't afford to pay off that bill yet and its always in the corner of my mind. Dan says that he wants to get a new ped Dr. anyway coz he feels Dr. Downy does nothing special so.... But still. What if one of the kids gets the really sick. We take them to quickcare and pay extra I guess. Ok I gotta stop thinking about it before I go insane.

Well I got my new phone. Its a nice phone and still I have a hard navagating around but at least it works good. For those who had my last # I will send the new one soon.

The family has been fighting against getting sick. Poor Bobby had a fever off and on for a day or so. Rosie and I and even brendan have a bit of a cold with the runny nose and I had some real acheing last night. Right now all I have is a stuffy nose. Rosies is sore poor thing and like a river. Bobby seems to be ok.

Today Dan is planning to do the boys xmas shopping. I already got their jammies and more clothes for Rosie. On my next check day I will shop for Rosie. I kind of have an idea of what to get her but until I am out there I won't for sure.

Poor Bobby is home from school. He had a fever this morning and last night. It seems to come and go but he seems in good spirits other than that. I just decided to keep him home for some R&R.

Facebook is pissing me off today. All my games have been lagging real bad. What else is new. I went shopping yesterday at the evil Walmart and sold my soul. Got lots of things. pjs for the kids and some clothes for them and extra sleepy pants for Dan. I also got tons of baking supplies and things that I didn't get the other day.

All in all things have been kinda mellow.

Well today the sun is out but still very cold. When I took Bobby to school I saw that it snowed around on the mountains. It almost looks like God took a big shaker of powdered sugar and dusted the tops of them. I felt very festive.

Went to fresh and easy today and picked up what I couldn't at the other market. Yesterday I made that pulled pork stew and it was delish. Maybe having some leftover for lunch. Tonight, I will be makeing some chicken dish from Rachael Ray.http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/food/recipes/chicken-blt-gravy/ there.

That is if we don't go to World Market. Yesterday noone wanted to because it was just plain miserable out. Picking up Bobby was a pain. I don't like cold rain. It would of been better if it snowed. Wish it did.

Another cold day. My God but I won't be suprised if it snows soon. When I dropped Bobby off at school they made him go to the cafeteria because it was too cold.

Well this type of weather inspires me to want to cook yummy comfort food. I have decided to prepare a pulled pork stew which is cooking in my slow cooker right now. Got that one out of my FN magazine. I am also going to make a dish later in the week with Strip steaks. ;p I am also planning the cookie baking soon. I already found a cool new thumbprint cookie plus I gotta whip up some sugar cookie dough.

We are also getting peoples addresses updated so we can send out our xmas cards. Gotta get those out soon.

Tis the season.

Well our tree is officially up and twinkley. Dan picked a real nice one. Nice and full but this type of tree doesn't have very strong branches but is nice and fragrant.

Also went to see Santa today. It was a bit chilly out and standing in line was not fun. We decided to go to Town Square and it was nice but Rosie wanted nothing to do with Santa so there will be one less Labrecque in the holiday photo this year. I don't know what we will do but Dan says he will take his own special holiday photo of Rosie and maybe photo shop it. We shall see.

Right now its 730 and he left a few minutes ago to pick up some chinese food. Can't wait;starving!
We were soposed to go to World Market as well today to pick up more ornaments and stuff but the waiting for Santa was too time consumeing. I asked Dan if he wanted to do it tommorrow after work. He said it depends on what time he gets out and will play it by ear. Which I don't blame him for.

I gotta start planning my baking. I have no idea,besides sugar cookies what to make this year.

It got real cold overnight. I had to bring in my plants last night. It is starting to feel a bit festive. Now all we need is snow. Tommorrow we are planning to go get our tree. I asked James again to switch our Fullmoon showing for another day. Things just seem to keep getting in the way. I asked him if he wanted to today or we can reschedule another time...again. lol. This is getting old but I really want to see this movie.

So I am going to start pulling out Xmas Decorations in prep for our Tree this weekend. It should be a family fun project. I am starting to get cards already. I gotta get out my santa card head. I love that thing. Best gift I ever got from a good friend too.

Well today I stopped by Target and started a little bit of Xmas shopping. More for Dan than the kids because 2 of them were there.

Nothing too nuts because this year its for the kids but I think we should at least get some basics that we need. I got him stocking stuff and some clothes. New Jammy bottoms. We both got slippers so I didn't get those. I would like to get him some new shaving stuff and some sweets but that will be another time. Thank god for Unemployment checks because I don't know what I would do otherwise.

Ok I can't believe that its the first of December! Can you believe it!? Oh well... Not much going on as of late. Still waiting on my friend James to let me know when he want to see New Moon this week or no. I think it may be tommorrrow.

I love my Dom avatars. Its just one of my many. Thats for all you GHrs out there. GH is getting better and better. I love all the characters and couples.

I can't believe we only have one more month left of the year!? I can't believe we got 4 more weeks till Christmas. I don't know where to start first. I know I should probally start sending out my cards. My friend Pam has sent me one already. I have no excuse of dillydallying. LOL!

I had a lot of fun last night with my SP buds Leighann and Jen. I met Leighann first. We decided to wait for Jen at The Pink Taco. I bought the first round of Margaritas. Then Jen came about 45 minutes later. Her phone was off and she didn't know it. Then we had dinner and chatted about everything. Then after dinner,Which miss Jen paid for, we went out to the casino at one of the bars and had another drink. That round was on Leighann. Then after that we said our goodbyes to Jen and thanked her,then I took Leighann back to her hotel and we said our goodbyes. She said a little bit in the new year shes comming back for a girls time. I told her I was in. I don't know what my situation will be at that time;but I am always ready for friends.

I need to get a hold of James so we can try to see New Moon now that all the super hype died down and there shouldn't be alot of lines.

I can't believe I even let the thought of me not having a lot of good friends come into my mind because I really do have some cool friends. Again,my friend Jen is flying in tommorrow to meet a few of us and plan to take me and Leighann out to dinner and just spend some time. I feel so blessed when it comes to Jen. I just want to be able to be just a good a friend as she is to me. I worry that I may take more than I give lately. But I am very lucky nontheless.

I am also thankful for older dear friends and am happy to stay connected no matter how near or far. I guess you can say thats what I am thankful for this holiday season. Friendship and family. Means more to me than anything in the world. Even chocolete.

Today on Facebook a longtime friend from manchester looked me up. My friend Karen! I was so happy to hear from her and she really made my day. I used to work partime in her clothing stores for extra money besides working fulltime for Ultima 2 at JCPENNEY. She was a client of mine and we just became friends. All because my mirror was flashing in her face across from her store. Anyway I am glad she found me. Now we are reconnected.

Gotta make the pie today. I am only makeing one. Tonight gotta prep the turkey and get it ready for tommorrow.
